There are many Murugan temples in Salem, India, but the most popular one is the Sri Muthumalai Murugan Thirukovil, located at Ethapur on the Salem-Chennai national highway, about 36 km from Salem city. It is home to the world’s tallest Murugan statue, which stands at 146 feet (45 m) tall. The statue was consecrated in April 2022 and is a popular tourist attraction.
